Wilderness Motorhomes' dream is to be the best campervan rental company in the world.
With years of hard work and a lifetime of ideas and inspiration from their dad, brother and sister duo, John Managh and Mary Hamilton, created a company to be admired. Grounded by family and motivated by love, they set out to build a successful motorhome rental company committed to having fun and making the whole family smile - be it clients, suppliers or employees.
In 2010, John and Mary teamed up with one of the big shots in the industry to take Wilderness to the next level. Michael Becker, co-founder of leading New Zealand motorhome rental company Kea Campers, brings more than a decade of experience as well as the vision and drive that will see the company continue to box above its weight.
Guided by heartfelt philosophies and a product like no other, Wilderness has caused quite a stir in the industry. Since 2004, they have gone out of their way to create unforgettable holidays for adventurous travellers around the world. A hard-working, down to earth approach means delivering beyond clients' expectations time after time. With a sharp eye for detail and exceptional understanding of Kiwi conditions and lifestyles, no other rental company can compare.
Unlike most motorhome rental companies, Wilderness is committed to you seeing NZ like a local. Be it a hot spot you never knew about or an all-inclusive hire package, they will do all they can to make your experience an incredible one - it's no wonder they've taken the industry by storm. In 2008, Wilderness Motorhomes welcomed a Deloitte Fast 50 award for NZ's fastest growing tourism company and while there's no silverware up for grabs, they're definitely proud to be New Zealand's only motorhome rental company to scoop the prestigious Supreme Award in the Rankers Traveller Voted Awards.
At Wilderness, there is no I in team - we're a collective of like-minded and fun loving people here to make the world a better place. Our values are simple; he tangata, he tangata (it is people, it is people) speaks volumes about our approach to business and life. We're one big happy family and you're welcome to be part of it.
